Hi all
I'm Steve from York in England and this is my forum.
I have been a Neil Young nut since I first heard "The Needle and The Damage Done" when I was about 19. I'm now 39 (nearly) and totally obsessed by the man.
I had my first live experience of Neil at The Hop Farm last Sunday and was totally blown away. I was fighting back tears at many points of the set as I was so moved by what I was witnessing.
Anyway please enjoy this message board.
Steve

Hi Steve,
let me enjoy the privilege of being the first member to post here. ;D
I am really proud of being a Neil Young fan since the release of Harvest. I could have picked any other artist at that time. But he is one of the very few who survived everything. I mean, it is just great to see a man still performing, writing new material and not doing a simple greatest hits tour.
Forever Young!!!
Thanks for setting up this forum. I hope it will grow to something special, but we'll have to wait for that...

Greetings from the Kenai River, Alaska... First meeting with Neil was at La Cave 1969 in Cleveland. Then CSNY in 1969 & 1970 in Cleveland. Most amazing was Neil's solo performance at the Kent State Benefit in Cleveland Public Hall Nov. 14, 1970. He closed with OHIO as the audience stood silent holding hands. Amazing... Peace, Joe Ray

Hello from Tallahassee, Florida, USA. Glad to join in... been a fan of Neil's since BS days. I found the group via the rust post... thanks for the invite, Steve. I saw CSN&Y in '74 and Stills-Young in '76... then a long stint with little to no live Neil. I missed 3 chances to see with Crazy Horse and 2 with the Shocking Pinks between '78 & '91. I was fortunate to be at Live Aid in '85. I found Rust in 2004, rediscovered Neil, bought the entire back catalogue on CD [ ]. I have seen CSN, Stills, and Crosby/Nash on many occasions. This year I will attend my second Farm Aid and third Bridge School Benefit / International Rust Fest. Festing with Rusties is the best (but jamming with them is even better!). Peace & love.

Oh goodie, another Neil board to post on. :-)
Names Paulette and I've been a Neil-aholic since the age of 14 or so when CSNY's Deja Vu album came out although I had been listening to The Buffalo Springfield since 1966. Having older siblings brought me out of my bubble gum phase (yes, I'll admit I was a David Cassidy/Bobby Shermann teenie bopper) and turned me onto a plethora of genres. Neil, in whatever form was always my most loved.
I love/respect the Man, artist, humanitarian, inventor and rebel.
I live in the rural mountains of Arizona, USA where Neil can be heard ringing around the canyons of my small town as we love to spin his albums just about any time day or night. I am very lucky to have a spouse who, although not a fanatic is certainly a Neil fan.
Been having a blast reading all the reviews on the rust list about this years massive European tour and am a bit envious since I missed The Continental tour being that Neil has been dissing Arizona. :-( I was happy to seen him at the BSB 2007 where he did an incredible acoustic Spirit Road, No Hidden path and Oh Lonesome Me.
Good to be here.

Do you happen to have the picture your icon is made from? Neil looks positively gorgeous.

Hello, been posting in a few places but just spotted this thread I'm Neill (with 2 L's, hence the name!), from Sussex in the UK. Been into Neil since about 1991, and have been lucky to see him live 8 times now. He's my number one, hands-down, all-time favourite artist and it's refreshing to find somewhere to discuss all things Neil
