Well spotted, it's a boat! (I wish it was a tour bus. . . that would be so hip).
And thanks, I really love that shirt. I recently won a bid on ebay for a Rotter and Friends "Thanks Neil" t-shirt which is so cute! For some reason I want to have everything I like on t-shirts. . . I really can't explain it.

I love your shirt! For some reason, I just really love that shade of brown, not to mention that adorable guy on the front!

I'm slowly building a collection of NY tour shirts (white 2001 Eurotour, two from the recent Continental Dreams European Tour - the old radio design, and a venue-specific one for the Hammersmith Apollo - and a Hop Farm Festival shirt), but I like that design! I'm also after a few album shirts, I've seen a nice 'Harvest' one and fancy an 'After The Goldrush' one too

Yeah I agree, it's fantastic. I also have the Ian Anderson flute one and the Roger Waters one.
Heh. . .and no, that skirt just gets stained all the time. It seems to be cursed.

Hey, the other day I went to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland, and just thought I'd share this photo (and my extreme joy) with everyone! p.s. they had one of Neil's ponchos! (it's a shame they don't allow pictures inside) p.s. #2 . . . haha, I didn't realise how many clashing plaids I was wearing until now.

Hmmm. . . .well I don't think it said (unless I somehow missed it), and I can't recall seeing it on him at any point, but I might just be forgetting. It was black and extremely large.

Haha, yeah it looked like that/is probably that one. Impressive that you were able to produce that. Oooh, right, and they had the poncho that Stephen Stills wore in that CSNY performance of Down by the River in 1969. . . I don't know what show it was on, but I'm sure you know the one I'm talking about. Oh, and one of Crosby's guitars, but I only remember that it was there, not any details.

Ahaha, oh man, if you knew how much time I spend just looking at Neil, you wouldn't be impressed with my ability to identify an article of clothing of his (and be able to produce pictures of it XD) by description alone. Celebration At Big Sur would be the one that has the poncho of Steve's you're talking about, I'm pretty sure. It also looks like one I've seen Neil wear. I wonder who had it first. Neil wore it first. Perhaps he gave it to Steve? Or maybe they have duplicates or perhaps they aren't exactly the same. Neil's more than a little distracting though... As for David's guitar, I don't know which one he'd part with. In fact, it almost disturbs me that Neil would part with his old ponchos. It's like... the Neil who wore it no longer exists within him, and that makes me sad if that's the case. *sigh* Btw, and I can't believe I didn't mention this yet, I dig your clashing plaids! *dances*

Well, I am quite humbled by your skills. And yeah, that is indeed the poncho I saw.
As for Neil's poncho, maybe the rock and roll hall of fame was trying to get something out of him (I don't know if they approach artists or not), in which case maybe he just did it to please the masses. Or maybe he just doesn't value clothing, whether old or new very much. Or maybe he actually does disassociate himself from that time, which would be kind of sad, but make sense at the same time.
And yeah, I've been trying to find a nice plaid shirt for a long time so as to look more like Neil. . . a haha. I would kill for pants like the one he wore on the back cover of After the Gold Rush and various other times. I've thought about trying to make something like that, but I really don't think I have the skill.
